When It All Feels Too Much

There's one commitment that I strive to maintain above all else and it is this: I will be honest with you.

Honesty is a core value for me. That said, I see that there are limits to my own honesty. For example, I can see how I can struggle to be honest with myself when I have made a mistake or hurt someone else with my words or my actions.

I can also see how hard it can be to show the more vulnerable parts of myself and my experience, even to those people I trust most. Even to myself.

At the same time, I am learning that honesty does not demand full disclosure to all the people, all the time. I am allowed to keep parts of myself protected, tucked away, sacred. We all are.

But to be able to say: 'I am not okay right now.' That is the gift and the challenge.

And I am hearing some of you say that you are having a really hard time right now. That maintaining your space feels like a luxury that you don't even have access to because everything else is just too much. I feel you...oh, so deeply!

Today was a hard day for me. I was not okay. For quite a while. I let myself fall apart. Then I sought out support. I spent time feeling the hard things and expressing my grief and rage and fear.

Here's what I noticed: while all of that was happening and it felt like the world was spinning out of my control (oh wait, it always is, isn't it?), I was able to stay anchored into my body and contained in my experience because of nourishing spaces: my bedroom which I had tended to earlier in the week, my therapist's studio space which is set up intentionally for sensory comfort and pleasure, the library with its beautiful views.

I want you to have those types of spaces too. Especially when it all feels too much, I want you to have a refuge to hold you. It might be as small as a few special objects on the surface of your bedside table or as large as your entire home set up to express what you love most. Either way, it makes a big difference.

I know this is true because the people who have put the Reclaim Your Space strategies into practice in their lives have told me so.

And I know it can still feel overwhelming. To that end, I have tailored the Reclaim Your Space Masterclass to meet you right where you're at:

~ I have distilled the content into a 6-week course so you are getting the most potent and effective morsels of what I teach.

~ The classes meet on Zoom for just one hour a week so you can join from your home or your workplace or on the road. Recordings will also be available if you miss a live session.

~ I will be weaving in a micro-challenge each week that will take 3-5 minutes and can be done during the call or the next time you are at home, so you can experience immediate results as we go along.

~ I will support you in crafting a daily practice that fits in with your schedule, needs and intentions, no matter how packed or spacious your days are.

~I have set the investment level to be as accessible as possible, with multiple paths available to you.

Tending to your space is as vital as tending to your body, in that it can be life-giving or not. If your days are so full or you feel like nothing is okay, this might just be the best gift you can give yourself: to create a space to rest, restore, and be nourished in your home.

If you join the Reclaim Your Space Mastermind, I will be gentle. I will be honest. And I will meet you right where you are. All the parts of you are welcome here.
