Are you a real estate professional in Rockland County?

Do your potential clients ever feel overwhelmed at the idea of preparing to list their home?

If so, you’ve come to the right place.

Does this sound familiar?

You are walking through a house that you are hoping to list, but all you can see is stuff!

All the stuff that the current owners will be taking with them once they sell the house.

All their most sacred items, their personal items, their functional-but-not-pretty items. Probably mixed in with their old, broken, well-loved, or even neglected items.

What do you do?

This is uncomfortable. You know that this clutter will be a deterrent to the sale they desire but you don’t want to offend a potential client.

Even more confusing, you have a sense that the homeowners themselves don’t even perceive a problem.

The reality is that they may not see the stuff at all. At least not how you see it. And definitely not how potential buyers will see it.

When we spend time in a space, day in and day out, our brains simplify the experience to the point where we literally stop really seeing the stuff in our homes anymore unless we intentionally choose to look at it.

So, that’s the first challenge…but there’s more!

If you’re paying attention, you’ll notice that some of these items, even the ones that are the most tired, are very precious to their owners.

How could you possibly ask them to hide or get rid of something so precious without damaging the relationship you are looking to build with them, not to mention your hopes of working together to sell their home?

This is where I come in.

Hi. I’m Tam Orlando.

For over 15 years, I have been supporting homeowners in creating homes that align with their desires. I have designed and built home renovation projects, including renovations to prepare for the sale of the home. And, over the past decade, I have studied the body, movement, trauma, and how to use breathwork and other somatic practices to soothe the nervous system.

When the pandemic hit NY in 2020, I combined these areas of expertise into my new venture, Reclaim Your Space. And over the past three years, I have supported clients around the world with clearing clutter to open up to flow in their homes and in their lives.

With my guidance on where to focus their time and budget on clutter clearing, repairs and upgrades, many of my clients have sold their homes quickly and far above asking price.

Significantly, my compassionate clutter clearing techniques honor the fact that the objects in our homes hold energy, emotion, and stories. And the fact is that our homes and the objects in our homes are deeply woven into our sense of self, our personal history, our joy and pain, our comfort, and even our self-worth.

It is this awareness that makes me particularly adept at supporting folks who are going through major transitions in their lives, such as preparing to sell their home and move somewhere new.

My clients leave our sessions feeling empowered, clear, inspired, and ready to continue gently onwards in their endeavors.

And, let’s be honest…packing up a home and moving is a daunting task for anyone. No one should have to do it alone.

So…what does this have to do with you? And how does it all work?

What if you could offer your clients the gift of clutter clearing to support them with preparing to sell their home?

I am looking to partner with real estate professionals who care deeply about their clients’ experience and who understand the value of supporting their clients through the entire process of preparing, listing, packing, and moving out of their homes.

If you see how this level of holistic support for your clients would be a powerful win-win, then I would love to connect with you.

Together, we will craft a personalized clutter clearing package that you can include as part of your concierge approach to serving your clients.

Interested? Here’s what you can expect…

Once we agree on a package and level of support, I will work directly with your client, the homeowners, to prepare their home for the market. They will be the ultimate decision-makers throughout the entire process.

This comprehensive service includes the following:

  • guidance on identifying and releasing items that they are ready to let go of

  • physical in-person support with moving, packing, donating and hauling away items, as required

  • organizing and packing items that need to be tucked away for showings but will be going with them to their new home

  • virtual support between in-person sessions including goal-setting, gentle accountability, coaching, feedback, and text or email support

  • access to virtual clutter clearing sessions in my Reclaim Your Space Community to support with maintaining momentum throughout the week

  • gentle guidance and coaching using somatic healing techniques to process the emotions that inevitably come up during clutter clearing and times of transition

  • emotional support and processing to release energetic attachments to their current home and/or fears about moving

This is a unique service that supports homeowners in feeling confident and supported as they prepare to sell their home, so that when a great offer comes in, they are ready and eager to accept it, prepared both energetically and practically to move on to their next adventure.

As we work together to get clarity in their space and in their energy, I am continually supporting them in making the decisions that align with their desire: to find a great buyer who values their home and is offering the best price.

If you believe that this service would support your clients and yourself, I would love to talk! Together we will tailor a custom package to suit your client’s desires and meet your collective goals.
