ABOUT TRAUMA-INFORMED GENTLE YOGA:

Trauma affects the way we hold our bodies. Whether it is hunching our shoulders to protect our hearts, tucking our tailbone down in shame or keeping our gaze to the ground in fear of meeting another’s eyes. All these subtle changes in how we hold our bodies culminate in misalignments that can, over time, create pain that may seem inexplicable.

In this yoga class, we gently support the body to move back towards a healthy alignment, strengthening the muscles that support these alignments and thus protecting and/or relieving undue strain.

In the process, energy and emotion are often released and cleared from areas where they may have been trapped and held for a long time. So we go very very gently, taking time to integrate along the way.

ABOUT TAM ORLANDO:

Tam is a deeply feeling, highly sensitive, powerfully intuitive healer and a stand for transformation, inside and out. Her particular magic is the unique cumulation of experience and education in art, design, yoga, free birth, natural parenting, integrative healing, various spiritual traditions, mind-body-energy somatic trauma healing, and personal development, combined with 15 years growing a multi-million-dollar home improvement company that specialized in people-centered design and project management.

While she catalyzes powerful shifts in the tangible world, her greatest power is her ability to continue to shine the light of awareness on unconscious structures and conditioning that no longer serve us, to courageously walk path of allowing those structures to crumble so a new, beautiful, truer self-expression can shine through, and to share the tools and possibilities she discovers along the way.
